Payton Mcsharry contributed with 2 assists and Brendan Jester did his part, adding 2 assists.
During the first period, Congdon opened the scoring for the Americans with a goal at 4:43 with helpers from his linemates, Jester and Mcsharry.
In the second, Congdon netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:02 with helpers from his linemates, Mcsharry and Jester. Mitzel quickly followed with a goal at 6:45 with assists from Oberg and Feagins. Congdon answered for Great Falls with a goal at 16:06 with an assist from defenseman Vibans.
The Americans’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Nast’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced. Nast’s counterpart, Brennan, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 33, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Great Falls Americans’ record to (42-4-2-3)
