Rinckey's hat trick helped the Americans crush the Junior Bruins 5-0

Ben Rinckey led the way with a hat trick as the Great Falls Americans crushed the Missoula Junior Bruins 5-0 in a home game at Glacier Ice Rink in Great Falls. Also, the Great Falls Americans' offense had a big night, peppering Missoula with 35 shots throughout the game, to go along with Drew Scites' shutout. The Great Falls Americans took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Ben Rinckey and never looked back.

Weston Goodman did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Brandon Vukasin contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Rinckey opened the scoring for the Americans with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:51 with a helper from Juliussen.

During the second period, Vukasin netted a goal at 2:45 with a helper from his teammate Goodman.

In the third, Rinckey deposited a goal at 3:26 with an assist from Truex. Rinckey put in a goal at 12:47 with assists from Juliussen and Simpson. Goodman scored a goal at 15:36 with helpers from his linemates, Vukasin and Houlihan.

Great Falls’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Scites’ shutout, as he stopped all 8 of the shots he faced. Scites’ counterpart, Thomas, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 35, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Great Falls Americans’ record to (29-10-2-0).
