NA3HL NEWS: GREAT FALLS FORWARD GAZICH SIGNS NAHL TENDER

By NA3HL

Dallas, TX., April 30, 2021 — The Great Falls Americans of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Thomas Gazich has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Minot Minotauros of the NAHL’s Central Division.

Gazich, 19, just completed his second season of junior hockey, which has been spent between the NA3HL and the NAHL.

The 5’10/160 lbs. native of Hopkins, MN, appeared in a limited number of games during the 2020-21 season, which included six with the Americans and one with the Willmar WarHawks. He posted two points in those seven regular season games.

He also played in six playoff games for the Americans, recording four points.

Gazich spent the entire 2019-20 season in the NAHL with the St. Cloud Blizzard, appearing in 42 games and recording five points.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL – plus or minus any trades – which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2021 NAHL Draft.
