Fary's hat trick helped the Americans crush the Wild 6-1

Michael Fary led the way with a hat trick as the Great Falls Americans crushed the Gillette Wild 6-1 in a home game at Great Falls Ice Plex in Great Falls. Furthermore, the Great Falls Americans' offense had a big night, peppering Gillette with 41 shots throughout the game. The Great Falls Americans took the lead early in the first on a goal from Michael Fary and never looked back.

Payton Mcsharry chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Matt Janke did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first, Dearing opened the scoring for the Americans with a goal at 0:39 with helpers from his teammates Weston and Mcsharry. Fary quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:12 with a helper from Rinckey. Mitzel finally put Gillette on the board with a goal at 6:14 with assists from his linemates, Oberg and Stockert.

In the second, Fary answered for Great Falls with a goal at 2:41 with a helper from fellow Americans forward Thomas. Mcsharry quickly followed with a goal at 3:57 with assists from Janke and Braxton.

In the third, Fary deposited a goal at 2:07 with helpers from Larson and Simpson. Vandenbos netted a goal at 10:08 with assists from his linemates, Mcsharry and Janke.

The Americans’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Sharp’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 31 shots he faced. Sharp’s counterpart, Lepper, also had a big night, managing to stop 13 of 17, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Great Falls Americans’ record to (9-1-1-0).
