2018-19 NA3HL: Frontier Division Star of the Week

The NA3HL gives out a “Stars of the Week” award every week of the regular season. The awards, presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 31, 2018. The weekly divisional Stars of the Week award are given to the top performing players in each of the six divisions (Central, Coastal,  West, Northeast, South and Frontier) of the North American 3 Hockey League that are nominated by their head coaches.

Frontier Division Star of the Week:

Payton McSharry, Forward, GF Americans

McSharry erupted in Great Falls’ three games in the final week of 2018, posting 7-5—12 in that span to lead the Americans to victories in each contest. The Anchorage, AK native started off the set of fixtures with a goal and an assist in a tight 4-3 win over Bozeman, then doubled his production the next day with 2 goals, 2 assists against Butte. McSharry’s crowning moment(s) came against Missoula on New Year’s Eve, as he notched four goals and two assists in a 10-3 romp past the Bruins. After being held off the score sheet in the opening two games of the Showcase, McSharry has put up 14 points on his current four-game streak.
