2017-18 NA3HL: Frontier Division Star of the Week

The NA3HL gives out a “Stars of the Week” award every week of the regular season. The awards, presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending January 21, 2018. The weekly divisional Stars of the Week award are given to the top performing players in each of the eight divisions  of the North American 3 Hockey League that are nominated by their head coaches.

Frontier Division Star of the Week:

Drew Scites, Goaltender, GF Americans

Great Falls goaltender Drew Scites is making one heck of an impression on his new teammates. Newly acquired by the Americans, Scites has allowed just two goals in three starts. Last weekend Scites was almost perfect allowing just one goal in each of his team’s two wins. The 19-year old stopped 28 shots at Gillette on Friday night before stopping all seven shooters he faced in the shootout. He followed that effort up by stopping another 33 shots in a 5-1 victory. For the weekend, Scites posted a .96 goals against average and a .968 save percentage.
