2017-18 NA3HL: Frontier Division Star of the Week

The NA3HL gives out a “Stars of the Week” award every week of the regular season. The awards, presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending February 25, 2018. The weekly divisional Stars of the Week award are given to the top performing players in each of the eight divisions  of the North American 3 Hockey League that are nominated by their head coaches.

Frontier Division Star of the Week:

Drew Scites, Goaltender, GF Americans

Drew Scites has been perfect thus far during the 2017-18 season. He has amassed a record of 20-0 and is 11-0 since being acquired by the Great Falls Americans. For as good as Scites has been this year, this past weekend might of been his best. On Friday night, Scites was peppered with 65 shots but he was able to turn aside 64 in an overtime victory against the Yellowstone Quake. As great as he was Friday, he was perfect on Saturday. He denied 45 more shots to give his Americans a win and picked up his fifth shutout of the year. In the two game series, Scites had a goals against average of 0.48 and a save percentage of 0.991.
