The Great Falls Americans' offense had a big night, peppering the Yellowstone Quake with 38 shots throughout the game, to go along with Drew Scites' shutout. The Great Falls Americans took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Michael Houlihan and never looked back.
In the first period, Houlihan opened the scoring for the Americans with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:04.
Great Falls’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Scites’ shutout, as he stopped all 45 of the shots he faced. Scites’ counterpart, Waszczenko, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 38, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Great Falls Americans’ record to (31-10-2-0).
