During the first, Mcsharry opened the scoring for the Americans with a goal at 4:58 with a helper from his teammate Juliussen. Fary put in a goal at 19:03 with helpers from his linemates, Peters and Mack.
In the second period, Rath deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:47 with assists from his linemates, Houlihan and Fary. Cunningham finally put the Junior Bruins on the board with a goal at 9:07 with an assist from Moistner.
In the third period, Zubkov netted a goal at 10:36 with helpers from Akatnov and Kirk. Juliussen answered for the Americans with a goal at 19:55 with a helper from his linemate Mcsharry.
Great Falls’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Sharp’s big night as he stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced. Sharp’s counterpart, Thomas, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 40, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Great Falls Americans’ record to (15-5-2-0).
