Sharp Bryan came up big, stopping 30 of 34 shots throughout the game. The Great Falls Americans took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Rath Tanner.
Rath Tanner contributed with 2 goals and Dearing Cody had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Nicholas Noel delivered for his team with 2 assists and Jarett Scheibel chipped in with 2 assists.
During the first, Tanner opened the scoring for the Americans with a goal at 4:33 with a helper from Adam. Matt put in a goal at 6:40. Goodman netted a goal at 11:05 with helpers from Cody and Payton. Kottmeier finally put the Bighorns on the board with a goal at 14:16 with assists from his linemates, Scheibel and Noel. Cody answered for Great Falls with a goal at 18:54 with helpers from his linemates, Kody and Matt.
During the second, Tanner deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:56 with assists from his linemates, Matt and Payton. Adam put in a goal at 15:22 with a helper from fellow Americans forward Michael.
In the third, Kottmeier answered for the Bighorns with a goal at 0:52 with an assist from defenseman Kipper. Cline netted a goal at 9:38 with helpers from his linemates, Lindberg and Sietz. Kottmeier put in a goal at 19:07 with assists from his linemates, Noel and Scheibel.
Great Falls’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Bryan’s big night as he stopped 30 of the 34 shots he faced. Bryan’s counterpart, Battaglia, also had a big night, managing to stop 12 of 16, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Great Falls Americans’ record to (3-0-0-0).
