The Americans crushed the Junior Bruins 7-2

The Great Falls Americans' offense had a big night, peppering the Missoula Junior Bruins with 52 shots throughout the game. The Great Falls Americans took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Payton Mcsharry.

Trent Cowden did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Michael Houlihan chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Misha Akatnov delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Cowden opened the scoring for the Americans with a goal at 2:38 with a helper from his teammate Rinckey. Akatnov quickly followed with a goal at 4:13 with a helper from fellow Junior Bruins forward Cottle.

During the second, Cowden answered for Great Falls with a goal at 0:53 with an assist from Juliussen. Mcsharry netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 14:22 with helpers from his linemates, Houlihan and Vukasin.

In the third period, Vandenbos put in a goal at 1:34 with an assist from Fary. Truex quickly followed with a goal at 2:20 with a helper from defenseman Peterson. Zubkov answered for Missoula with a goal at 11:39 with assists from his linemates, Prince and Akatnov. Mack quickly followed with a goal at 13:30 with helpers from Juliussen and Peterson. Houlihan put in a goal at 16:13 with an assist from defenseman Cowden.

The Americans’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Scites as he stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced. Scites’ counterpart, Yoder, also had a big night, managing to stop 45 of 52, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Great Falls Americans’ record to (28-10-2-0).
